The RIAA is offering an amnesty to Internet filesharers as long as they:
Identify themselves with photo ID
Make a sworn statement that they have deleted the files they shared
Pledge to stop the infringing behaviour

In yet another example of anti-consumer behaviour by record companies, Universal and Warner have been fined AUD$2 million after trying to bully record stores to not sell (legal) cut-price, imported CDs.
