Jimmy's weblog

Since you are my readers, and I have not been much of a traveller, I will not talk about people a thousand miles off, but come as near home as I can. As the time is short, I will leave out all the flattery, and retain all the criticism. — Henry David Thoreau

Irish highlights so far

Saturday December 18, 2004 23:28

While the primary reason for this trip is to provide emotional support for my partner, I certainly plan on seeing as much of Ireland as I can during the next three weeks.

Highlights of the first week have been a two day visit to Dublin and an excursion to Newgrange, an ancient monument site and home to what is generally regarded as the oldest man-made structure on the planet - 500 to 1000 years older than the Egyptian pyramids.
