Subtitled: “I surf porn and I vote” OR “I burn witches and I vote”
In a vain attempt to lighten up this serious election day, more quality reporting from the Murdoch press:
PORN-USERS are more than twice as likely to vote Green compared with the general population, according to the preliminary findings of a new Australian study.
Almost one in four porn users also identified themselves as Coalition voters.
More than 1000 porn users were surveyed for the Understanding Pornography in Australia study, led by Alan McKee.
More than 16 per cent of those surveyed said they supported the Greens, more than double the 7 per cent the party scored in last week’s Newspoll.
Still I guess it’s better to be a porn surfer than a lesbian-witch burner.
THE Queensland Nationals have broken ranks with the Coalition over its preferences deal with the Family First Party, with Nationals Queensland Senate candidate Barnaby Joyce describing the Assemblies of God-affiliated party as “the lunatic Right”.
His comments came as police confirmed they were investigating an incident in which supporters of Family First allegedly hurled eggs at Greens party members after screaming obscenities at them and declaring that lesbians were “witches who should be burned at the stake”.
And one of these parties might just hold the balance of power in the senate after today…
