Inspired by a Slashdot story about learning touch typing at school, I decided to check my own typing skills.
During high school I was forced to suffer through six months of touch typing; classes I absolutely hated at the time but that have been very valuable in the years since. It seems that the six months of torture (and constant computer use since) have left a lasting impression on me.
During the test, you typed at a speed of 72 words/minute and made 3 errors. According to these results, you are an expert typist and should consider taking the corresponding course when you register.

I was so inspired that I considered (for about a second) signing up for an course to improve my typing. Then the grey cloud of reality set in. I’m not a professional typist, nor a secretary taking dictation, nor anyone who needs to improve their typing at all. Luckily my credit card still hadn’t left my pocket by that stage…
