Since you are my readers, and I have not been much of a traveller, I will not talk about people a thousand miles off, but come as near home as I can. As the time is short, I will leave out all the flattery, and retain all the criticism. — Henry David Thoreau

A weekend hiking trip to Wilsons Prom to celebrate Pauline’s birthday. Friday night involved a stay at the Fishy Pub (http://users.tpg.com.au/users/fishypub/) while Saturday night was a camp at Little Waterloo Bay.

Most of the party took the (relatively) easy option of a 12.5km hike directly to Little Waterloo Bay, but three were crazy enough to walk 22.5km via Sealers Cove and Refuge Bay (walk details at http://www.parkweb.vic.gov.au/resources/05_0857.pdf).

Little Waterloo Bay

Highlights included a beautiful, sunny Saturday, a cold, windy and wet Sunday, an amazing consumption of wine and spirits, as well as a campsite haunted by a temporary raving lunatic.
