The AFL Grand Final weekend produced a magnificent victory for the Brisbane Lions over the Collingwood Magpies. Despite going in as underdogs, the Lions never looked like losing as they led from the first score to the last to win their third premiership in a row - a feat not seen in fifty years.
The Lions weren’t alone in their ‘three in a row’ feat though the Magpies certainly won’t be celebrating theirs. The defeat on Saturday was Collingwood’s third consecutive Grand Final loss after losing to Brisbane in the corresponding match last year, as well as Adelaide in this year’s pre season competition.
